A Formal Approach to Decipher a Mixture of Genetic and Metabolic Networks

Several cellular biological networks integrate various types of reactions, in particular genetic regulations and metabolic reactions. In our works we try to analyze automatically biological networks to help the biologists to discover or to question the properties of these networks. I propose in this study (i) a discrete semantic of these two types of networks (genetic and metabolic) as well as mixed networks, (ii) an implementation with a constraint approach (Answer Set Programming) of this new type of networks (mixed networks), (iii) several examples of models and associated questions showing the interest of a constraint approach in this type of analysis.
